Doctors treat a patient suffering from pain, shortness of breath and unexplained tingling in her hands. Having recently been in hospital with suspected pneumonia and, despite a course of antibiotics, she feels worse, and Dr Damian Williams has to break some more bad news to her. Meanwhile, a non-verbal child is brought in by his worried parents, and Dr Costigan meets a patient who is struggling with her fibromyalgia.
