TDC Brandon Kane urges PC Cathy Bradford to reveal that she is HIV-positive, but Bradford is reluctant as she thinks it could ruin her chances of joining CID. A clairvoyant's glimpse of the future encourages Sgt June Ackland to reconsider the nature of her relationship with PC Jim Carver.
